Meet Dr. David Clements

Fixing the Cause of the Problem through Chiropractic

Chiropractor Garden Grove, Dr. David Clements “Another pill!!… Is that going to fix me or create more problems?” This a common question asked time after time when we go to see our doctor in order to relieve pain. I always wondered, “Is that the only treatment for getting rid of pain or is there an alternative solution?”. Then I was introduced to the world of chiropractic. Finally, something that made sense! When you have pain, it is your body’s last resort to tell you there is something wrong. If the CAUSE of the pain is not corrected, the body WILL BE damaged. Sweeping the dirt under the rug never works, so why do we think that covering up a symptom with a pill does? Your body talks to you through symptoms, we need to listen to our body’s so we can function normally.

My Journey to Chiropractic

I admit it. I am a weekend worrier, which means that I don’t play sports everyday but when I do, I give a 110% with not caring about how I feel after. Sometimes my body is not in the greatest shape so I know I’ve pushed too hard when I am really feeling it the next day. This is how chiropractic fell on my lap. I play in a competitive hockey league and every now and again, I twist the wrong way or even get hit into the boards throwing things out of alignment.

I have an older brother who is also a chiropractor. He has shown me the impact chiropractic has, not only on relieving my pain but on preventing injuries. With an aligned spine your body is healthier because the spine houses the most important aspect of your body, the “Nervous System”. If your spine is not aligned then your nervous system is more susceptible to being impacted by what life throws at us, whether its stress, car accidents, illness, etc. With a correctly aligned spine your body is more capable of functioning at its optimal level.

My Education

Being born and raised in Canada, most of my life has revolved around the sport of Hockey. I received a hockey scholarship to Augsburg College in Minnesota, to play NCAA hockey. I received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Chemistry, while honored on the Dean’s list for academics. I was accepted to Southern California University of Health Sciences where I graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic with honors on the Dean’s List and was given the prestigious award of “Best Technique” in the 2010 SCUHS graduating class. I am a member of both the American Chiropractic Association and the California Chiropractic Association as well as Board Certified in the United States and Canada.

Chiropractic Philosophy and Care Objectives

Our philosophy at Twins Chiropractic and Physical Medicine is to help as many people in Orange County and the surrounding areas as possible, and to promote health. We not only want to treat our patients but also educate them on how to live a more healthy lifestyle so they can prevent future injuries or disease. As chiropractors we help the body by removing pressure off the nervous system so the body can function normally and ultimately heal itself without the use of medication.

A Little About Me

The number one joy in my life is my wife Tiffany, who has supported me throughout my life but especially in my career as a chiropractor. I am an avid hockey player and play on a weekly bases at a high competitive level. I think maintaining a balanced diet of fresh organic fruit and vegetables as well as having a very disciplined work out routine that involves both cardio and strength training, is important for the body to function at its optimal level. Most importantly, getting regular adjustments once a week is the greatest way to maintain health and prevent disease. Thanks for visiting our site. We look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Call our Garden Grove Chiropractic office to arrange a time to explore your options.
